ARTICLE 9             Publication Policy

§  9.1   Consortium Publications are all publications in the following four categories:

1. Scientific publications related to preparatory work (e.g., white papers, simulations, observing plan, etc.) 

2. Scientific publications resulting from the GTO program awarded to the Consortium;

3. Technical publications resulting from the Project activity;

4. Other publications, such as conference proceedings and presentations, on the topics above.      

§  9.2   The ST (science team) will propose publications that will be discussed by the core ST. The core ST will facilitate coordination within the ST about the publication proposals in order to comply with the Science Share requirements detailed in §  8.8 of this Consortium Agreement.

§  9.3   PI, PM & PS, in consultation with the EB (Executive Board), will identify a list of important contributors to the ANDES development and definition which will be submitted to the SC (Steering Committee) for approval. Anyone in this list has the right to request authorship in any paper based on GTO data and submitted within the first six years of operations.

§  9.4    All Consortium publications, their list of authors and their order need the approval by the EB.

§  9.5    The author list of the technical publications shall include all those members of the ANDES Consortium who have contributed to the specific technical topic.  The PI, the PM, the PO, the System Engineers, and the EB have the right to request authorship in any technical paper.

§  9.6   Presentation, outreach and dissemination need the approval by the PI, who will also inform the EB.
